Sudden cardiac arrest is a medical emergency that claims about 350,000 American lives each year. In most cases, this situation is due to a lethal condition of a rapidly quivering heart & is no longer able to pump blood to the brain. All studies have shown that when CPR is started immediately to a person who is showing no signs of life, and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is used within 3-5 minutes, it can correct this lethal heart condition.
The Flint Hill Fire Department (FHFD) recognizes this important medical situation and now offers full American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, CPR and AED, and First Aid certification classes throughout the year at one of the stations or an instructor can come to your business or organization. The AHA classes vary in length and cost but all classes earn a certification card that lasts for 2 years.
Our instructors are able to teach the following classes:
BLS for Healthcare Providers
HeartSaver CPR and AED
HeartSaver First Aid
HeartSaver First Aid, CPR, and AED
HeartSaver Pediatric First Aid
and skills testing for any of the above classes offered online.
If you are interested in taking a CPR class at the station, having an instructor come to you, or have any questions about the classes or the cost of classes please contact Jordan Anderson at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you do not receive a reply within 48 hours please try contacting again as we get many emails every day or your email may have inadvertently be filtered into a “spam” folder.
